Itinerary

Start: You can start your safari at 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 3:00 PM.

If your hotel is within 10 km of Udawalawe National Park, we offer free pickup. If you’re staying farther away, we can help arrange a comfortable taxi to bring you to the park.

The drive to the park is calm and relaxing. Depending on your start time, you may enjoy the cool morning light or the warm colours of the afternoon sun, perfect for your first photos. At the entrance, your passport and ticket will be checked, and then your safari begins.

Your jeep will move slowly along dirt roads to give you the best chance to take clear photos. You might see elephants walking through tall grass, water buffalo near the lakes, and deer moving between trees. Monkeys, peacocks, and even rabbits may also appear in front of your camera. If you’re lucky, a leopard might show up too, a rare but amazing shot!

Don’t forget to look up! You can photograph colourful birds like parrots, eagles, the rare Red Faced Malkoha, and the Sri Lankan Junglefowl, Sri Lanka’s national bird. The peaceful sound of nature around you makes every photo feel special.

Your guide will help stop the jeep when you want to take your time. There’s no rush, this tour is made for photographers.

After about 03 to 04 hours of nature, wildlife, and great photos, the tour ends. Your driver will take you safely back to your hotel or meeting point, with your memory card full of amazing shots.
