Itinerary

Start: You can start your safari at 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 3:00 PM.

If your hotel is within 10 km of Udawalawe National Park, we will pick you up for free. Or if you’re staying farther away, we can help arrange a comfortable taxi to bring you to the park.

The drive to the park is calm and peaceful. You may feel the cool morning air or warm sun, depending on your tour time. When you reach the park, your passport and ticket will be checked. Then, your safari begins.

Your jeep slowly drives through the dirt roads. Soon, you start to see wild animals. Elephants walking through the grass, water buffalo resting near the water, and deer running between trees. You may also see monkeys, rabbits, and colorful peacocks dancing in the sunlight. If you’re lucky, you might even see a leopard hiding in the bushes!

Look up to see beautiful birds flying above, like parrots, the rare Red Faced Malkoha, and the Sri Lankan Junglefowl, which is the national bird of Sri Lanka. The sounds of the birds and animals around you make it feel like you’re in another world.

Halfway through the tour, your driver will stop in a quiet, shady spot. You can enjoy a picnic style breakfast or tea break here. While you eat, you might even see elephants nearby. It’s a moment you’ll always remember.

After the break, your safari continues. You will see more animals, more birds, and more of the park’s beautiful nature.

After about 03 to 04 hours, the tour ends. Your driver will take you safely back to your hotel or meeting point. We’ll make sure your trip ends just as nicely as it started.
